professional training, she performed for several Japanese dance
companies. She also performed in television and in film in Japan,
Canada and Greece. While dancing professionally, she was teaching
dance in Japan and in Montreal, Canada.
Yuuko studied Pilates for two years with Romana Kryzanowska where she
earned a Pilates Certificate in 2001. She continued her Pilates study
with Ron Fletcher, Kathy Grant and Deborah Lessen. Yuuko is a PMA

Currently, she is currently enrolled in Dance Medicine with Marika
Molnar at Westside Physical Therapy. She has studied with Irene Dowd
for two years.
Pat Guyton and Yuuko met in 2004. They shared a mutual respect for
one another which developed into a desire to share the work of their
respective mentors with other teachers and students. This
relationship has developed into a collaborative effort to preserve the
Pilates that was given to them by their respective teachers. For the
past five years, both have been working on a comprehensive syllabus; a
work that is in progress.
Yuuko is a generous and caring teacher. She is married and lives in
NYC. It is her wish to share Pilates for the benefit of others who
need health and healing. She loves her two dogs, supports a devoted
group of students, and is a true friend to others.
Rende Brockwell has been teaching Pilates for fifteen years. She received a BFA in Dance at Sam Houston State University in 1997. Currently she teaches Pilates and the Franklin Method at Pat Guyton Pilates.
In Houston, Rende studied with Elizabeth Jones-Boswell, author of Exercise for Pregnancy and Beyond. The Houston studio had many referrals for Pilates from the medical community. As a consequence, Rende has extensive experience adapting Pilates to a client base with a wide range of physical conditions. Since moving to Colorado, Rende has studied exclusively with Pat Guyton, author of Stretch out Strap, Shoulder Girdle and Armwork and creator of Pilates Conservatory®. She was a student of the Ron Fletcher Work and assisted Pat Guyton in teacher training in 2007-2008.
Rende was introduced to the Franklin Method® 2008. She is a Franklin Method® Level 1 Educator and is currently in her second year of training. She enjoys teaching Pilates with the Franklin perspective as it makes learning more rewarding for the student.
Rende moved to Colorado from Texas almost six years ago. She loves the active lifestyle and focus on health. Her empathy and compassionate personality make working with Rende a fun and educational experience.
